Laminated tattoo designs of everything from crosses and angel wings to skulls and dragons paper the walls of Island Ink Tattoo on Okaloosa Island.
Even on a Monday afternoon, the shop bustles as several customers look over the walls and display cases, while two already sit in tattoo chairs.
Over time, more people have started to accept tattoos, said William Mills, a tattoo artist at the store. Tattoos have gone more mainstream from their seedy connotations decades ago.
He attributed it to the simple passage of time.
